Who is Modus Coffee?
Modus opened in December 2016. Founders Sam and Toby started with a simple goal: "to serve coffee that felt clean and considered." As the business grew, so did the urge to take full responsibility for quality. In 2018 they launched Modern Coffee, a small roastery focused on traceability, fairness and transparency. Today Modus roasts in Perth, WA, with cafés in Vic Park and Wembley and a team of over 50 people. Working directly with producers means paying well and staying close to every step of the supply chain. Waste stays low through composting and considered packaging. "Transparency isn't a marketing line, it's a practice." The subscription sends their top single origins every 2 or 4 weeks, from 200g to 1kg per delivery.
