About Kindred Coffee

Kindred Coffee began in 2019 with a motto its founders still lead with: Brew Good. Do Good. Co-founders Alex and David had spent a combined 35-plus years in and around specialty coffee. They started as nomad roasters, renting shared spaces before building their own roastery in Adelaide. From the first roast, they kept their dealings with suppliers and farmers fair and transparent. Those relationships open access to small farms running experimental processes — carbonic maceration, anaerobic and extended fermentations. Coffee is green-stored, roasted, packed and dispatched within the day of roasting. Retail bags are 100% home compostable, and over 25,000 have been kept out of landfill since the start. The result is ethically sourced coffee made with minimal environmental impact — ground to ground to ground.
