Who is 1905 Roasting Co?
“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Those words kept playing on the head roaster's mind through years in engineering and construction. In 2012, the change came: an entry-level “roastery all-rounder” job at a Perth roastery. Eight more years there followed. In 2021, the 1905 Roasting Company opened in Williams, WA. Today it's a family-owned, small-batch specialty roastery in the Williams Woolshed, on the road from Perth to Albany. Green beans come through Upstream Imports, who build relationships with exporters, cooperatives, mills and farmers. Its single origins come from Guatemala, Ethiopia, Brazil and Colombia, and the green beans are sustainably sourced.
